Firefighters have extinguished a brush fire that burned on Saturday afternoon near Hokualele Road, Aliomanu Road and Kuhio Highway in Anahola, according to the Kauaʻi Fire Department.
The fire was reported shortly after 4:05 p.m. Crews contained the blaze and later cleared the scene.
Fire officials said there were no reported injuries or damage to nearby structures.
Personnel from the Kaiākea Fire Station, Tanker 3 and the Kauaʻi Police Department responded to the incident. Police also provided traffic control while firefighters worked to extinguish the fire.
The cause of the fire was not immediately available. Fire officials said no further updates are expected unless significant new information emerges.
