Kiwi Camera Service on Virginia Drive hosts a rare workshop this weekend on the techniques behind cyanotypes, a vintage photo-developing method that yields up gorgeously abstract blue-tinted prints.
On Sunday, local artist Davvon Branker leads attendees through a crash course on cyanotypes, with instruction on all the fundamentals including printing, chemicals and digital negatives. Materials will be provided, though you are encouraged to submit possible photo selections in advance.
This workshop happens on Sunday, Aug. 23, at 2 p.m. It costs a mere $65 and resales are available through Kiwi’s website.
