‘Peroni Portals’
From Friday through Sunday, Italian beer brand Peroni is bringing its national “Peroni Portals” tour to Vegas. The pop-ups, with free Peroni, run from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Good Pie, 1212 S. ‘Desert Peoples’
A rare early 19th-century handwritten journal containing translations from Southern Paiute into English will be displayed as part of “Desert Peoples: Words From Ancestors.” The journal, which preserves words and meanings, some of which had been forgotten, will be accompanied by a selection of material culture. The exhibit will be open from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, through Nov. 19, in the Las Vegas City Hall Grand Gallery, 495 S. Main St. Admission is free.

Full moon hike
Have you seen the remote Mojave Desert illuminated only by moonlight? If the answer is no, you must. On Friday night, Friends of Avi Kwa Ame hosts a full moon night hike. It will cover 3 miles from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at moderate difficulty. Experience cooler temps, the sounds of the evening and opportunities for night photography. ‘Love at the Ballpark’
Plenty of people get engaged at ballparks — if you believe the various fan cams. But how many couples can say they participated in a symbolic, nonbinding expression of their love within sight of home plate? During “Love at the Ballpark,” spouses who married or renewed their vows in Southern Nevada can participate in an on-field group vow renewal ceremony. Hispanic Heritage Month
Tuesday through Sept. 30, the Las Vegas Science & Natural History Museum, 900 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with an exhibition and workshops honoring the culture, creativity and contributions of the Hispanic and Latin American community. The exhibition features artwork by local artists that explores how wildlife, ecosystems and landscapes tell stories of culture, identity and belonging across Latin America. Arts District fundraisers
From 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Echo Taste & Sound, 1301 S. Main St., Suite 160, is hosting a dinner to raise money for Raw Remedies hair salon and the Analog Dope bookstore, two Arts District businesses significantly damaged by a recent fire.
