A 57-year-old moped rider suffered critical injuries after being struck by another vehicle in Ewa Beach overnight, according to Honolulu police.

Just before 1 a.m., police said the man on the moped was heading westbound on Renton Road when he allegedly disregarded a red traffic light while making a left turn onto Fort Weaver Road. He was then struck by a 29-year-old motorist heading southbound on Fort Weaver.
