Vance Honeycutt and Ethan Anderson hit back-to-back home runs in a five-run sixth inning, propelling the Chesapeake Baysox to a 6-4 win over the Portland Sea Dogs in an Eastern League game Tuesday night in Bowie, Maryland.
Portland’s Dalton Rogers allowed only one hit through five innings, but Honeycutt tied the game with a two-run homer in the sixth. Anderson followed with a line drive over the left-field wall that gave the Baysox a 3-2 lead.
Thomas Sosa capped the big inning with a two-run single.
Henry Godbout put the Sea Dogs ahead in the third inning with a two-run homer — his fifth in 15 games since his promotion to Double-A.
