Honolulu District Court at Kauikeaouli Hale will be closed Monday to a loss of water and air conditioning in the building, the state Judiciary announced Sunday.
Hearings scheduled Monday in Courtroom 7C for defendants in custody, along with preliminary hearings, will instead be held at Kaneohe District Court, 45-939 Pookela St.
Hearings and trials in Family Court criminal cases scheduled at Honolulu District Court will be held in Courtroom 5 on the third floor of Honolulu Circuit Court, or Kaahumanu Hale, at 777 Punchbowl St.
All other hearings, trials and proceedings scheduled at Honolulu District Court Monday will be rescheduled.
Chief Justice Vladimir P. Devens issued an order extending until Tuesday, Sept. 15, the deadline for filing documents that are due Monday at Kauikeaouli Hale.
The public can check the state Judiciary’s website and its online eCourt Kokua system for updates on hearings, trials and other case activity.
