Seven flight attendants were evaluated after a Hawaiian Airlines flight from Los Angeles to Honolulu landed today, according to first responders.
Honolulu Emergency Medical Services, along with multiple state and city agencies, responded at about 12:30 p.m. today to Terminal 1 at the Daniel K. Inouye International Airport. Based on the emergency call, several patients reported feeling sick from an unknown odor while on board the incoming flight.
Honolulu EMS assisted the American Medical Response with evaluating patients on scene who complained of nausea and headaches. All declined transport to an emergency room.
Alaska and Hawaiian Airlines said the seven flight attendants on board Alaska Airlines Flight 803 – operated as Hawaiian Airlines between Los Angeles and Honolulu – reported an odor in the cabin.
“The Airbus A330 aircraft carrying 252 guests and nine crew members arrived without incident at HNL, where seven flight attendants were evaluated and released by medical personnel,” said the airline in a statement. “No guests required medical attention.
