For over 18 seasons, ART/WNY is home for developing and producing 716 playwrights. The company is proud to present a useful tool in this development with the New Play Workshop Series. But besides just a stage-reading, the NPW Series will add a unique twist to each event with a free offering of food and beverage tastings matching the theme of each play (or not).
Additionally, each reading will be recorded for the company’s podcast The Voices of WNY Artists Podcast for future airing. This promises not to be a typical herd in, sit, listen, Q & A then leave staged readings. Audience members can enjoy the experience beforehand then offer their take on the work via QR survey code throughout the reading (or afterwards hanging in the Tim White Lounge).
American Repertory Theater of WNY’s New Play Workshop Series kicks off the series season with Artie Award winning writer Mark Humphrey’s “Cain” featuring the talents of Buffalo veteran actor Monish Bhattacharyya – October 3rd at 6 pm. The Food/Bev theme is “Kentucky Road”
