The teen girl shot on Milton Avenue was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police said.
A 14-year-old boy is facing gun charges, including possession of a large capacity feeding device, after a teen girl was shot in Dorchester Wednesday night, police said.
Police responded to reports of a person shot in the area of Milton Avenue around 8 p.m., Boston police said in a statement Thursday. Officers “immediately rendered aid” to the teen girl with gunshot wounds until EMS arrived. She was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Officers, who found several juveniles in the residence, were directed to the basement, where two boys were near the home’s rear door. One of the boys had a backpack, which allegedly held a loaded firearm.
The 14-year-old was arrested, Boston police said. He was not named because he is a juvenile.
The teen is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court on charges of delinquent to wit carrying a loaded firearm without a license, carrying a firearm without a license, and possession of a large capacity feeding device.
