5 must-see EDC acts on opening night in Las Vegas

EDC is here, and as always, we’re there.

The world’s biggest electronic dance music festival turns 30 this year, and we’ll be at Las Vegas Motor Speedway all weekend long as more than 200 acts celebrate the occasion amid a crowd of over 500,000 strong.

Ready to get after it?

Here are five acts not to miss on Electric Daisy Carnival’s opening night.

— Laidback Luke B2B Chuckie, Kinetic Field, 7 p.m.: Need another reason to get there early tonight besides beating the gnarly opening day traffic? To see these two scene lifers open the Kinetic Field with their first B2B set together.

Underworld, Cosmic Meadow, 11:10 p.m.: This pioneering Brit duo helped take electronica to the American mainstream in the mid-’90s, so it’s only fitting that they’re in the house for the first time as EDC commemorates that era.

Levity, Circuit Grounds, 11:15 p.m.: The white-hot Chicago EDM trio hits EDC, aiming to further build on the momentum they recently generated with their much-buzzed-about Coachella run.

Peggy Gou, Neon Garden, 11:30 p.m.: The deep house superstar casts her spell before returning with a hotly anticipated B2B set with Dutch counterpart Ki/Ki at the Circuit Grounds on Saturday.

Adventure Club, Bass Pod, 2:30 a.m. The high-impact dubstep duo brings the bass like a blizzard brings the snow with a special throwback set.
