A vocational teacher at Blue Hills Regional Technical School in Canton has been placed on leave amid an investigation into “reported allegations,” district officials said.

In a letter to families Sunday, Superintendent-Director Jill M. Rossetti said the district immediately placed the teacher on administrative leave “upon learning of these concerns” involving them. She did not name the teacher in question, nor did she specify the nature of the allegations.

“The safety and wellbeing of our students remains our highest priority,” Rossetti added.

A Canton police spokesperson confirmed the department is also investigating the matter but declined to provide further details.

“We understand that situations such as this may raise questions and concerns within our community,” Rossetti told families. “Due to the ongoing nature of this personnel matter and investigation, we are unable to provide additional details at this time.”
