Paul Warren Cummings, born on February 14, 1947, in Burlington, Vt., passed away peacefully on May 23, 2026.
Paul grew up in Burlington and was an accomplished athlete throughout his high school career. He married his high school sweetheart, Constance Cochones. Together, they raised three children, Elizabeth, Matthew and Lucas. Paul adored his granddaughters, and they affectionately called him Papa.
Paul worked for the Burlington Free Press for many years, selling advertising. He was well known around for his big smile and quick wit. He loved to swim, sail, and spend time with his family in the lake or backyard pool. Paul loved to help people and volunteered for Meals on Wheels for several years. He is survived by his children, Matthew; Lucas; and Elizabeth and Peter and their two daughters, Sara and Charlotte. He is also survived by his sister, Anne Riddell, brothers, Peter and Dick Cummings; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. We will all miss him dearly. There will be a celebration of life for Paul at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to someone you’d like to help.
