Man allegedly points gun during road rage incident in Bellingham

The 61-year-old Franklin man is facing multiple charges.

A Franklin man allegedly pointed a gun at another male during a road rage incident Tuesday evening in Bellingham.

Stephen Fahey, 61, is facing three related charges: assault by means of a dangerous weapon, carrying a firearm while intoxicated, and disturbing the peace, according to Bellingham police.

Officers responded to the incident on Maple Street shortly before 7 p.m. and “quickly identified” a suspect and his vehicle. They notified Franklin police to be on the lookout, and soon after, Franklin officers located the suspect inside the vehicle in the parking lot of the 99 Restaurant, Bellingham police said.

Fahey was arrested at the scene and brought to the Bellingham Police Department for booking.
