They’re Hurricanes, all right. The new NHL champs blasted through a famous Strip nightclub at Category 5 late Sunday and early Monday. They toted the Stanley Cup and were hardwired for a party.
The victors from Carolina took over Omnia Nightclub at Caesars Palace, making it clear they are the kings of the NHL. The Hurricanes vanquished the Golden Knights 3-0 to win the best-of-seven series in six games.
Most, if not all, of the team filed into the Tao Group Hospitality hot spot at about 1:20 a.m. after dining at Catch at Aria. The Omnia crowd was tipped that the champs were entering the venue when the Scorpions’ “Rock You Like a Hurricane” blasted through the club.
They were further tipped off when DJ Pauly D cried out, “Las Vegas! Make some noise! For your 2026 Stanley Cup champions! Carolina Hurricanes!”
The big screens showed the team’s on-ice celebration just a few hours earlier at T-Mobile Arena. Flags flew, confetti sprayed, party cannons blasted.
The scene was loud, proud and, in Pauly D’s case, hair-raising.
Most of the bombast in the DJ booth (which is akin to a penalty box, but with laptops and turntables) was enacted by the Canes’ Jordan Martinook, Logan Stankoven and Shayne Gostisbehere.
Martinook and Stankoven shouted, “Let’s go Canes!” at the crowd. Gostisbehere made sure Pauly D got to hoist the trophy, and everyone posed with the former “Jersey Shore” cast member. It was a surreal-ity show, but the crowd roared through all of it.
The scene was bittersweet for those who remember a similar outpouring at the same club three years ago. Omnia was the site of the Golden Knights’ Cup celebration in 2023, when the Vegas franchise beat the Florida Panthers in five games.
Steve Aoki was that night’s headlining DJ, and he played the pregame concert Sunday.
Tao Group Hospitality also hosted the Washington Capitals’ Stanley Cup victory celebration in 2018, at Hakkasan at the MGM Grand, after the Caps beat the Knights in five games. That’s three Cup visits in eight years, more than most touring artists. “Lord Stanley at Omnia” is a proven hit.
