Letter: Teaching moral principles can be done without unconstitutionally trying to foist religious dogma on students in schools

The First and Fourteenth amendments are crystal clear in stating Congress and states are prohibited from making any law “respecting the establishment of religion.” That includes rules, decrees, regulation and directives. Regardless, there’s a growing current tendency in Republican-controlled states to ignore the amendments.
