80-year-old Irv’s Burgers from L.A. sets opening date for 3rd Las Vegas Valley location

Irv’s Burgers opened in 1946 as Queen’s Burgers. In those days, you got your burger kicks on Route 66 at the original roadside stand in Los Angeles. Irv Gendis purchased Queen’s, one of the first roadside burger outfits in L.A, and named it after himself. Today, as Irv’s marks 80 years, it’s become an institution famed for its double patties and loaded dogs and cheerful doodles on placemats.

This year also marks the debut of shop No. 3 for Irv’s in the Las Vegas Valley, as the outpost in the food court at Green Valley Ranch opens July 9. To celebrate the grand opening, the first 100 customers in line will receive a free Roadside Burger.

The menu features Irv’s signature burgers (plus add-ons), sandwiches (including a pastrami and a patty melt), dogs and chili dogs, sides (fries, tots, onion rings), milkshakes, floats and cookies. The breakfast menu runs to burritos (including turkey and Hatch chile), sandwiches (including egg and cheese), and a Breakfast Burgerrito (chopped beef patty, eggs, tots, cheddar, onions and Irv’s sauce wrapped in a flour tortilla), plus tots, loaded tots and coffee.

The new shop follows the launch of the first Vegas Irv’s in December 2023 in Eat Your Heart Out food hall at Durango and the August 2025 launch of a store in the Miracle Eats Food Court in the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood on the Strip.

Hours at the Green Valley Irv’s are 9 a.m. to midnight Sunday through Thursday and 9 to 2 a.m. Friday and Saturday. Visit irvsburgers.com.
