Las Vegas Aces
The Golden Knights really hog the spotlight in early summer, huh? Might I direct your attention to our other regular champions, the Aces? On the quest for another back-to-back WNBA championship, the team plays this week against Chicago Sky on Friday night (celebrating first responders and local heroes, along with an Aces banner fan giveaway) and on Sunday, they face Indiana Fever, both at T-Mobile Arena. Dustlandiversary
When the Facebook post mentions “vintage, keg-filled El Caminos,” you know it’s going to be a party. The Dustland Bar is celebrating its first birthday with the Dustlandiversary. The three-day event will include live music, vinyl DJs, food pop-ups, special cocktails, vintage clothing and flash tattoos. It’s scheduled for 4 p.m.-1 a.m. Friday and 1 p.m.-1 a.m. Saturday and Sunday at 1433 S. Commerce St.

Museum of Ice Cream
The 30,000-square-foot Museum of Ice cream, the largest in the MOI family, opens Friday at 3072 Rigel Ave., Suite 110, in Zone 2 of Area15. The museum features 14 installations, including an ice cream hotel, an AYCE ice cream buffet, a sprinkle pool, an ice cream-tasting magic show and an ice cream-themed entertainment floor. ‘The Art & Science of Arachnids’
“Spider-Man: Brand New Day” doesn’t open till July 31, but you can get your spider fix early with “The Art & Science of Arachnids.” The traveling exhibit also showcases scorpions and their relatives through live animal encounters, hands-on learning and immersive art. The weekly Arachnid Talk program takes place at noon every Friday at the Las Vegas Science & Natural History Museum. The museum is open 9 a.m.-4 p.m. daily, with the exhibition continuing through Aug. 23. Tropical pop-up
Beginning Friday, the bar and lounge at Flanker Kitchen + Sports Bar in Mandalay Bay is being transformed into My Tai, a tropical pop-up with tropical décor, inventive mai tai variations and a menu of shareable bites. Look for a Piña Tai topped with Dole pineapple whip, a smoky mezcal-forward Smoked ‘N Tai, a signature pu pu platter and a Piña Colada sundae. My Tai runs through Aug. 31. Visit flankerlv.com.

Hair spray and firearms co-mingle when a pair of late ’80s glam rock favorites hit town. Core, a local nonprofit that provides students with mentorship and support programs, is holding Jingle in July, its second annual holiday-themed fundraiser, beginning 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Beverly Theater, 515 S. Jimmy Carr
You come at the king, you best not miss. Comedian Jimmy Carr, long a fixture on British panel shows, has been known to flat-out destroy hecklers.
