Nobody should be judged by their social media activity

I don’t have much of a digital footprint because I’m too old. I’m even embarrassed reading my old diary entries. If Facebook, cellphones, YouTube, Reddit, Instagram, etc., had been around when I was young and finding myself and my way in the world, people would have seen many transformations of the person I’ve become.

Thankfully, there are no pictures or sound bites of any of my crazy acts, radical ideas, offensive language or hurtful and judgmental statements about other people.

I encourage anyone who was in middle school before 2005 (over 21) to stop and think about what might have been captured digitally on social media about themselves; really think about it. Then, don’t be so quick to judge Graham Platner. We all evolve.
