A 75-year-old bicyclist has died from injuries he sustained in a February collision with a vehicle in Nanakuli.
The man was riding on Farrington Highway near Hakimo Road at about 7:21 p.m. Feb. 27 when he traveled into the path of a westbound vehicle driven by a 64-year-old man, Honolulu police said.
The bicyclist was thrown onto the roadway and taken by Emergency Medical Services to an area hospital in serious condition. He was not wearing a helmet, according to police.
The driver remained at the scene and was not injured.
The Medical Examiner’s Office notified HPD this morning that the bicyclist had died from his injuries.
Police said it is unknown whether speed, drugs or alcohol were factors in the collision.

The death is the 81st traffic fatality on Oahu in 2025, compared with 55 at the same point in 2024.
The investigation is ongoing.
