A man was killed in a crash while riding a motorcycle on Route 1 in Hancock, east of Ellsworth, on Friday night.
Around 9:39 p.m., the driver of an SUV was traveling east and 29-year-old Richard Ryan, of Hancock, was traveling west on the road when the two collided, and Ryan was killed, police said in a news release. The driver was not injured.
The crash is under investigation and police ask that anyone who witnessed the incident or has information contact Maine State Trooper Taylor Bagley through the Bangor Regional Communications Center at 973-3700.
