It has been interesting — for lack of a better word — to listen to Hannah Pingree be interviewed, if one could call leading, easy-to-answer questions with no follow-up an interview.
Pingree’s responses are similar in both one-on-one interviews and public speaking opportunities in that they offer vantage points as if she was on the outside looking in, and was not in a position to influence decisions, choices or — most importantly — votes for passage or votes against legislation in Maine in the past seven-plus years.
She has been an assistant manager on a last-place team for those seven-plus years. Why is it a good choice for Maine to promote her to top manager for said team? Wouldn’t that be the definition of insanity, doing the same thing but expecting different results?
Maine has ranked lower and lower each year in education, middle-class economics and employment opportunities since Jan. 2, 2019. This voter thinks we are overdue for change.
