Honolulu firefighters extinguished a shed fire behind a Kalama Valley home on Sunday night.
The Honolulu Fire Department said it responded to a 911 call shortly after 9 p.m. for a fire on Kahului Street in the East Oahu neighborhood.
Eleven units with 43 personnel responded and the first firefighters to arrive saw flames and smoke coming from the rear of the two-story home.
Firefighters determined that the fire was coming from a shed, and not the main residence.
HFD said firefighters had the fire under control at 9:21 p.m., and extinguished at 10:08 p.m.
An investigation is underway to determine the fire’s cause and origin, along with estimated damages, HFD said.
