Put the kids to bed. Now it’s time for the grown-ups to have the run of Orlando Science Center with Science Night Live.
This evening of adult edutainment goes full Gen-X-tastic with a Laser X lightshow in the Dome with music from 1990s alt-rockstars like Smashing Pumpkins, Alice in Chains, Rage Against the Machine and also … Girls Against Boys? (Deep cut alert!) Emerge from the Dome feeling freshly skeptical and surly; head over to Mythbusting workshops with Central Florida Public Media journos Brendan Byrne, Molly Duerig and Joe Mario Pedersen; then guest speaker Natasha Tsakos will give a talk on PARABOLES, the upcoming multimedia performance taking place in microgravity.
There will also be drinks, trivia and “Meet the Engineers” sessions. Come get some, slackers.
