A car slammed through the wall of Heathco’s Pizza & Variety in Auburn early Monday morning, shuttering the business indefinitely.
“Unfortunately, this is not AI content. We will be closed until further notice, thank you!” the restaurant posted to Facebook.
One photo included in the post shows the red sedan with a destroyed front end sitting amid rubble inside the restaurant. Another shows a gaping, car-sized hole in what appears to be Heathco’s northeast wall.
Restaurant manager Abigail Chartier told WMTW on Monday that the crash occurred around 3:20 a.m.
This is at least the third car to hit the restaurant in recent memory, Chartier told the TV station.
The condition of the driver and the circumstances surrounding the crash are unclear. Auburn police did not immediately respond to request for comment Tuesday morning.
