The rockers who just released the doc “Don’t Look Back in Anger” are looking ahead with optimism.
Oasis is teasing to a 2027 tour, and Allegiant Stadium is in the mix. Nothing has been confirmed. But the band has been posting video and images for a stop in Las Vegas.
An Instagram reels video posted Friday shows a pickup truck with California plate reading YTIC NI5, backward for 51N CITY, which (we can expect) is SIN CITY.
There is also a bumper sticker HIT ME FOR SLOTS on the tailgate, and one referencing “A Horse With No Name” by the British-American band America. The famous lyric, “I’ve been through the desert on a horse with no name.”
Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts.; Manchester’s Etihad Stadium, Knebworth, Rome and Shane’s Castle in Northern Ireland are other rumored tour sites.
A formal announcement of the band’s 2027 plans is expected Monday morning. Oasis teased that date through a drone light show over the Etihad Stadium/Joie Stadium.
The lights show the iconic black-and-white Oasis logo, the date “14.09.26” and the time “4PM BST.” That’s 8 a.m. Pacific time.
“Oasis: Don’t Look Back in Anger” premiered Wednesday. In coverage leading to the film’s release, Noel Gallagher responded to rumors of a ‘27 tour during an appearance on Britain’s talkSPORT podcast.
The 59-year-old rocker said he and his brother might need to find something to do because there would be no major soccer tournament in the U.K. next summer. Gallagher said to host Andy Goldstein, “Well, let’s put it this way: there’s no football tournament next year, so we’ve got to do something in the summer, right?”
The “Wonderwall” hitmakers sold out stadiums around the word on the Oasis Live ‘25,” their first tour since 2009.
Oasis’ most recent shows in Las Vegas were at House of Blues on Sept. 15, 2005, on the “Don’t Believe the Truth” tour, and at The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel on May 11, 2001, kicking off the co-headlining “The Tour of Brotherly Love” with The Black Crowes.
