Dig It Coffee opening 2nd shop in southwest Las Vegas

Can you dig it, southwest Las Vegas? How about you, northwest?

Dig It Coffee Co., the coffee shop that provides work experience and life skills to people with disabilities, is opening an outpost in southwest Las Vegas. Founder and owner Taylor Gardner Chaney announced the new store, in The Garden Foundation on West Windmill Lane, in a recent Instagram video.

“We cannot wait to serve you a little kindness, coffee and inclusion,” Chaney says.

Opening celebration; store 3?

The opening celebration will run from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at 8390 W. Windmill Lane. The Garden Foundation is a local nonprofit that serves people with disabilities through life and social skills classes, vocational training, health and wellness activities, opportunities for creative expression (art, music, cooking, theater and so on), community coaching and more.

Another Dig It Coffee appears to be taking shape in the northwest. City of Las Vegas records show a pending business license for Dig It at 5030 W. Rome Blvd., at OVintage Boutique and OV Artworks Studio on the Opportunity Village campus. Opportunity Village is a local nonprofit that provides programs for people with disabilities.

A new home; on the menu

The original Dig It debuted in September 2022 on South Casino Center Boulevard in downtown Vegas. That shop closed in March after yearslong road construction and related traffic closures in the area. In June, Dig It reopened in a new downtown space at 100 N. City Parkway, Suite 130, in the Molasky Corporate Center. This location remains open.

Dig It serves drip and cold brew coffees, americanos and espressos, cappuccinos, flat whites, lattes, teas, matcha drinks, lemonades, cocoas and smoothies. On the food side, look for toasts, bowls, burritos, sandwiches, and sweets like pastries, cake push pops and build-your-own mini pancake stacks with toppings.
