The Red Sox’ on-field surge, which included a 15-game winning streak and 32-5 stretch from late June to early August, inspired a major rise in viewership for NESN’s game broadcasts in the season’s second half.

NESN said Tuesday that its streaming viewership rose 49 percent in the season’s second half, while its Persons 2+ audience — essentially the raw viewership numbers, rather than those of a specific demographic — were up 44 percent after the All-Star break.

Overall, Red Sox broadcasts on NESN had a 3.71 household rating this season, including a 4.45 in the second half.

Nine of its top 10 most-viewed broadcasts on the linear NESN network occurred after the All-Star break, and 10 of 10 on streaming platforms, including NESN 360.

On NESN 360, total minutes streamed per game grew by 70 percent in the second half, while subscriptions to the streaming platform doubled, the network said.
