Guitar Reach Buffalo Inc is excited to announce the return of the Buffalo International Guitar Festival, set to take place from November 6th through November 8th at the University at Buffalo. The Festival is a community-oriented event that focuses on cultural enrichment and educational opportunities for guitarists of all ages in the Buffalo community and beyond. Now in its third year, the festival returns to the wonderful facilities of the Department of Music and the Center for the Arts on UB’s North Campus. The event highlights the existing excellence of musical culture through the guitar in the Western New York region and attracts guests and participants nationally and internationally. The festival is organized in partnership with Guitar Reach Buffalo Inc and the UB Department of Music (College of Arts & Sciences) in collaboration with UB Center for the Arts, and UB Guitar Club.
Event Highlights:
- Concerts: Enjoy performances by world-class guitarists with a headlining performance by the illustrious Los Angeles Guitar Quartet.

The LAGQ is comprised of four uniquely accomplished musicians bringing a new energy to the concert stage with programs ranging from Bluegrass to Bach. They consistently play to sold-out houses world-wide. Their inventive, critically acclaimed transcriptions of concert masterworks provide a fresh look at the music of the past, while their interpretations of works from the contemporary and world-music realms continually break new ground.”
- Collegiate Competition: Students in four divisions (elementary, middle school, high school, and college) compete for prizes in this brand new event for this year!
- Education: Learn from master teachers in workshops, presentations, masterclass lessons and ensemble coachings.
- Ensembles: Participate in the Community Guitar Orchestra and the auditioned Youth Honors Guitar Ensemble (aka All-NYS Guitar Ensemble)
- Vendor Expo: Explore top quality instruments and network with professionals, teachers, and fellow students.
