New Movies Streaming
‘The Death of Robin Hood’ (2026)
“Robin Hood: Men In Tights” this is not. Hugh Jackman plays the Middle Ages vigilante of yore as an old, regretful man, whose legendary exploits mask the real destruction he has wrought. The first half of the film is dark and violent, while the second half is meditative, thinking about the legacy and myth that surrounded Robin Hood.
How to watch: “The Death of Robin Hood” is streaming on HBO Max.
‘Love of Your Life’ (2026)
Cambridge native Rachel Morrison, the first woman ever nominated for a Best Cinematography Oscar, is in the director’s chair for this movie partially filmed in Boston. The film follows a nurse (Margaret Qualley) whose whirlwind romance with an MIT whiz (Gabriel Basso) is marred by tragedy.
How to watch: “Love of Your Life” is streaming on Prime Video.
‘Norm: The Tale of Norm MacDonald’ (2026)
Norm MacDonald was a comedian’s comedian, a fearless stand-up who got himself fired from “Saturday Night Live” for his commitment to the joke. As this documentary from Judd Apatow shows, MacDonald also had a penchant for self-sabotage, was a prodigious liar, and had his fair share of vices. Nothing about those unvarnished truths takes away from the late comedian’s legacy, as evidenced by on-camera recollections from Conan O’Brien, Adam Sandler, David Spade, and more.
How to watch: “Norm: The Tale of Norm MacDonald” is streaming on Netflix.
