Carnaval Court is the Strip’s no-cover, cover band festival space.
The open-air venue sits just outside Harrah’s. It’s easy to find from the thumping rock-pop numbers from The Whip Its, the leather-clad, adult comedy band that samples Devo, Madonna, The Go-Go’s, Violent Femmes and The Human League. The band plays from 1 to 5 p.m. Thursdays through Sundays.
Long-running ’80s hair band Spandex Nation, party band Monroy, veteran rockers Garage Boys, all-request act The Droids and DJs rotate into the roster. The space runs from noon to 3 a.m. daily, though it will be dark during the day Mondays to Wednesdays through July.
