He has played Sphere during the F1 Las Vegas Grand Prix and headlined at halftime for the Raiders at Allegiant Stadium.
An expert at playing major-sports platforms, rap superstar T-Pain will headline the free show at Toshiba Plaza ahead of Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final at 3 p.m. Tuesday. The game is once more at 5 p.m.
As was the case for electronic music favorite Illenium on Saturday, the T-Pain concert is open to the public; no ticket is required to attend. Toshiba Plaza, which is just outside T-Mobile Arena, will open for fans attending the concert at 2 p.m.; doors to T-Mobile open at 3:45 p.m. Fans can hang in the plaza for the watch party.
The rules: No bags or backpacks will be permitted, except for small personal bags. Check the policies for T-Mobile, which apply to Toshiba Plaza. No coolers, outside food and drink or lawn chairs will be allowed. Complimentary water stations will be available throughout the event.
Born Faheem Rashad Najm, T-Pain has won a pair of Grammy Awards. “Good Life” and “Blame It” both won Grammys for Best Rap Song and Best Rap/Sung Performance, respectively. He was featured legendarily on Flo Rida’s “Low,” which spent 10 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard charts. The track was the third-biggest hit of the 2000s.
T-Pain performed at the T-Mobile Zone at Sphere ahead of November’s Las Vegas Grand Prix. The 41-year-old artist took the stage at halftime of the Raiders-Patriots game at Allegiant Stadium on Dec. 18, 2022.
That game was famous for the “Lunatic Lateral” play at the end of regulation. With the score tied at 24-24, the Pats’ Jakobi Meyers heaved a blind pass backward across the field. Raiders defensive end Chandler Jones scooped up the ball, stiff-armed QB Mac Jones to the turf and raced 48 yards for the game-winning touchdown.
Based on the Stanley Cup Final thus far, “lunacy” is in play, and T-Pain is in the right place.
